Raigarh News : Jindal Foundation and JSP family members carried out a massive cleaning campaign on the banks of Kelo river (Kelo Nadi Raigarh) on Friday morning.
During this campaign, which was run in response to the call of the district administration and Municipal Corporation, Team JSP cleaned for more than three hours with full resources.
Now the Jindal Foundation team will also run a special campaign to create awareness about cleanliness in the villages around the plant.
Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 fortnight is being celebrated across the country from 17 September to 2 October with the aim of creating awareness about cleanliness among the citizens.
In this sequence, the District Administration and Municipal Corporation Raigarh organized a mega-campaign to clean the banks of the Kelo river (Kelo Nadi Raigarh) passing through the middle of the city on Friday morning, 20 September.
Along with public participation, social organizations and industrial units were also called upon to join. Jindal Foundation, the CSR unit of Jindal Steel and Power Group, participated in this campaign with full enthusiasm.
From 7:30 am onwards, a large number of members of Jindal Foundation along with JSP family members reached near Savitri Devi Jindal Setu with necessary equipment, vehicles etc. for cleaning. From here, Jindal Foundation team started cleaning the river bank towards old Marine Drive.
During the cleaning campaign which lasted for about 3 hours, all the dirt was removed while cleaning the river bank. Along with this, the garbage was immediately loaded in the tractor and sent off. Along with this, randomly grown bushes were also pruned, weeds were cut etc. After cleaning, bleaching powder was sprayed in the entire area.
During this, JSP Executive Vice President Sanjeev Chauhan, CSR Head Rochak Bhardwaj, General Manager Public Relations Hemant Verma, Deputy General Manager Ashish Gera, Assistant General Manager Narendra Singh Chandel, Amit Kumar, Jitender Pal Singh Ghai, Manoj Awasthi, Jindal Foundation’s entire team and JSP family members were present in large numbers. During this, Jindal Foundation’s cleaning campaign was appreciated by the nearby citizens and administration.
