Chhattisgarh polls : A total of 223 candidates will be in the fray for the twenty assembly constituencies of the first phase

Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023 : After the withdrawal of nominations in 20 assembly constituencies of the first phase under Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections-2023 (Chhattisgarh polls) , now only 223 candidates will go among the voters for the elections. Today, on the last day of withdrawal of nomination for the second phase, a total of 30 candidates withdrew their names.

According to the information received from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, maximum 6 candidates withdrew their names from Rajnandgaon Assembly Constituency. It is noteworthy that after scrutiny of nomination papers in the assembly constituencies of the first phase, nominations of a total of 253 candidates were found valid, whereas in the first phase, till October 20, the last day of nomination, a total of 294 candidates had filed their nominations.

Under the Assembly Elections 2023 (Chhattisgarh polls), in the first phase, 13 in Antagarh Assembly constituency, 14 in Bhanupratappur, 9 in Kanker, 10 in Keshkal, 8 in Kondagaon, 9 in Narayanpur, 8 in Bastar, 11 in Jagdalpur, 7 in Chitrakote, 7 in Dantewada, Bijapur. 8 candidates are left in Konta, 8 in Konta, 11 in Khairagarh, 10 in Dongargarh, 29 in Rajnandgaon, 12 in Dongargaon, 10 in Khujji, 9 in Mohla-Manpur, 16 in Kawardha and 14 candidates are left in Pandariya.

प्रथम चरण के 20 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मतदाताओं की कुल संख्या 40 लाख 78 हजार 681 है जिसमें 19 लाख 93 हजार 937 पुरुष, 20 लाख 84 हजार 675 महिलाएं तथा 69 तृतीय लिंग के मतदाता शामिल हैं। इन विधानसभा क्षेत्रों के लिए कुल 5 हजार 304 मतदान केंद्र बनाए गए हैं। प्रथम चरण के विधानसभा क्षेत्रों के लिए मतदान तिथि 7 नवंबर और मतगणना तिथि 3 दिसंबर 2023 है।
