C-Vigil App News : Under Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023, rapid action is being taken on the complaints received from the people on the C-Vigil App (Citizen Vigil App) of the Election Commission of India. Out of the total 771 complaints received through Sea Vigil till October 23, 761 complaints have been resolved and action is being taken on the remaining complaints.
It is noteworthy that complaints of violation of code of conduct are being received from common citizens through C-Vigil. To resolve the complaints received on C-Vigil, a separate control room has been set up in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Reena Babasaheb Kangale himself is monitoring the action taken on the complaints received daily.
Every possible effort is being made to ensure adherence to the Model Code of Conduct in the state during the Assembly Elections – 2023. The C-Vigil application created by the Election Commission of India has been further strengthened to increase citizen participation and speedy redressal of complaints in cases of violation of code of conduct.
Now common citizens will be able to complain about code of conduct violation cases through live photographs and videos as well as audio clips. If any citizen witnesses any incident of code of conduct violation in the state, he can make a complaint through the application by taking a photo or making a 2-minute video or audio clipping of the incident using the C-Vigil application.
The complaint can be made anonymously or can be made by registering in the app. If the complaint is made as a registered user, the user will also be informed about the same after the complaint is resolved. This application is available for common citizens on both Android/iOS. In normal cases, the action on complaints will be completed within 100 minutes and the complainant will be informed about it.
